Multiplication Unplugged (CD/book kit) Decide Now

I bought this for my 8 yr. old granddaughter who was having trouble retaining the multiplication facts. She is an "A" student and usually learns easily but just as it seemed that she had the facts in her head she'd lose them. She understood how to multiply and could work out the answer but we wanted her to memorize the facts so she could do her math work quickly and efficiently. The music is catchy, if not current. My daughter and son in law had a laugh over the tunes but were soon impressed. As a result of listening to the cd in the car and twice daily before falling asleep she quickly learned to count by 2s - 12s. She then progressed so that she's learned her times tables quickly and easily. Her teacher is so impressed that she has recommended it to the rest of the 3rd grade class. My granddaughter did not seem to like the book as well, but the purpose was for her to learn to multiply quickly and she has done so. I would recommend this cd to everyone. Just keep in mind that it needs to be played and sung along to - so play it in the car and sing along.
